Octavia was a bride to the love she had always hoped to find.

On the day of the wedding, she was accused by the groom's family of adultery. Tensions rose until fights between her and the family broke out. She begged her partner to believe in her, but the wedding was cancelled that same day. The husband himself went back to her home to find out the truth, but believed nothing of what she said. He was too stubborn to listen to her. Only growing with anger, he struck her. He struck her again and again. Never ceasing until her bones broke. He only realised what he truly had done once he was finished. In shame, he took her out to the ocean, to leave behind both her body, and his memories of her.

Her lifeless body sank down. Down into the dark of the depths. It was here, in the vast loneliness of the abyss, in which a phantom jellyfish deity discovered her and pitied her fate. It was a blessing and a curse. She was given a second chance to remain in this world, however, only as a ghost. Bound to watch her groom from the shores of the beach. Hoping that one day he might hear her voice again. Never again able to walk on the lands she knew her whole life.
